Beth Jacob is a Modern Orthodox Jewish congregation founded in 1908. Its synagogue, the only one of its kind in Waterloo Region, reflects, demonstrates, and respects Biblical design features of Moses’ Tabernacle in the wilderness, and the later First and Second Temples of Jerusalem. The sanctuary features excellent acoustics, requisite religious items, beautiful stained glass windows, and distinctive modern architecture by eminent Jewish Canadian architect Joe Singer.
