Get a close-up look at a working dam, visit the flood control centre, and see displays explaining the many responsibilities of the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA). For almost 90 years, the GRCA has managed the water resources of an area that is home to almost one million people, working with local communities to reduce flood damage, providing access to outdoor spaces, sharing information about the natural environment, and making the Grand River watershed more resilient to climate change. For the 2019 Water theme, the GRCA will host an illustrated talk, recounting the history of waterpower along the Grand and its tributaries:
