Belmont Village Urban Corridor Study wrap-up

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Belmont Village Urban Corridor Study. Your contributions provided valuable insights into what’s important to residents and businesses as Belmont Village grows and evolves over time.

We have completed Phase 1 and a summary report of the engagement is now available. Through Phase 1 we heard comments in five general themes:

• Defining the corridor and disconnect along the corridor
• A successful street vibrancy
• Retail impressions
• Impressions of change
• Mobility and transportation

Next steps

Phase 2 of the Belmont Village Urban Corridor Study will occur through the Kitchener 2051 – Official Plan update project. This will include a review of existing policy documents to ensure the growth framework for Belmont Village Urban Corridor better aligns with the vision for the corridor.
