In 2024, following the successful application for funding from the Federal Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), the Township of Woolwich launched the development of a Comprehensive Transportation and Mobility Plan (CTMP) to address future growth and improve connectivity across the Township. As part of a wider strategy, including other HAF-funded projects, the CTMP aims to build a more accessible, sustainable, and inclusive transportation network that adapts to the community’s changing needs.

To lead this effort, the Township engaged the consultant Egis, bringing expertise in enhancing roadways, public transit, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure. The plan will focus on key areas such as Elmira, St. Jacobs, and Breslau, prioritizing carbon emission reduction, active transportation, and the development of a resilient, future-ready community. Additionally, a dedicated energy plan for Breslau may be incorporated.

    As part of the Comprehensive Transportation and Mobility Plan (CTMP)  for the Township of Woolwich, we are gathering valuable feedback from residents, businesses, and stakeholders to help shape the future of transportation in the region.
