Westwood Park memories

I remember taking my young kids sledding down the gentle slope from the baseball field in the winter. And in the summer, I remember teaching the kids how to bat a ball on the baseball diamond. The backstop was a great help. We used to love using the swing set there too. Now that slope is cut in half by a path and a “naturalization” area and the backstop has been replaced asa cricket pitch. Used to see teams play baseball there often. Not once have I seen cricket played there. None of my suggestions for improving the park were considered. At least they didn’t remove the swings. Yet.
