Initiative 4: Online Development Application Submission/Approvals System

Create an online submission portal and application review system to track, integrate and expedite the development approval processes.

The City is creating an online submission portal and application review system to modernize and accelerate the application and review process for new housing developments. An Affordable Housing Planner will also be hired to help support the processing of applications that include affordable housing. Check back for updates on the launch of the online application submission portal.

Key actions:

• Carry out foundational software/hardware/planning/programming work
• Launch online application submission portal
• Build and pilot end-to-end digital application processing
• Implement digital application processing and training
• Hire new Affordable Housing planner to support development review and grant co-ordination
