Project Update

During recent community engagement for Uniroyal Goodrich Park, staff had numerous requests that the park name be changed. Subsequently, in June of 2019 the City posted a survey through Engage Kitchener to solicit opinions regarding the possible renaming of Uniroyal Goodrich Park and to obtain feedback and determine support for a name that had been brought forward.

The outcome of the responses proved to be inconclusive, and therefore staff will need additional time to undertake further engagement.

This delay in the outcome around the possible renaming of the park will not affect the timing of the park upgrades, which are taking place independently.
