Summary report for second PIC now available

Thanks for your questions and comments during the second Integrated Sanitary Master Plan Public Information Centre (PIC).

We hosted the second PIC on Engage from December 6, 2023 to January 7, 2024. We promoted the PIC through newspaper and social media ads, email, and the project Engage page. A pre-recorded presentation, slide deck, transcript, and interactive map were available for review and comment. We received 770 visitors to the webpage. We received and responded to five comments by email and through the Engage platform. During the PIC, the Grand River Conservation Authority also provided comments.

Key themes raised through the comments included:

• The virtual PIC format and timing
• The quantity of inflow and infiltration flows into the sanitary system
• Inflow and infiltration data and monitoring
• Demand management for reducing sanitary sewer flows
• Potential conversion of existing septic systems to municipal sanitary services
