Galt Skating Races

My favourite memory at the Galt Arena was participating in the skating races! I was representing Saginaw Public School and was so proud and incredibly nervous to skate in front of the huge crowd of kids, parents, teachers, from all other schools. At the time it seemed like the biggest deal. I wore the pinny for my school with the big Saginaw Star , had my helmet on and all I could hear was noise at the starting line. It was a special atmosphere in there for all us kids. That moment where it was my chance to race I wont forget. The best part is I won my race!

This is a great event I hope can continue for kids and families in our community. Thankful for my community to have things like this.
