The Township of Woolwich is excited to announce the replacement of the Maryhill Heritage Park playground.
The scope of work involves the removal of all existing playground equipment, except for the swing-set due to its good condition. This will provide the opportunity for additional budget to be allocated towards more playground equipment. The playground surfacing will also be replaced with engineered wood fiber to provide a more safe and accessible play environment. Staff will provide a playground suited for a wide range of ages, including accessible features.
The project budget is $96,000 which is funded by the Canada Community Building Fund. The project is anticipated to be completed by late fall.
Township staff are eager to hear from residents on what they would like to see within the new playground, such as: colour scheme and features. Staff would also like to understand what you like about the existing playground as well as anything else that staff should consider when reviewing designs.
Staff have prepared an online survey which is located at the bottom of this page for residents to complete by July 19th.
For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Blake Miller as shown in under the contact information provided in the contact section.
