Harry Class Pool Upgrades

Harry Class Pool is one of Kitchener’s four outdoor pools and is open only in the summer months. It offers an affordable and desirable destination for residents to access safe and exciting outdoor recreational experiences.

The former two-story waterslide at Harry Class Pool reached the end of its service life and was decommissioned earlier in 2024. The slide that was taken down will not be replaced. The loss of the slide is an opportunity to replace aging infrastructure with new features at the pool that are more inclusive and better serve current and future pool visitors.

The outcome of this project will be a set of community-informed inclusive amenities that are fit within the allocated budget. We expect these amenities to be installed for the 2025 pool season.

How to get involved

Public input will help shape decisions about which set of new amenities should be purchased and installed at the pool. There will be two opportunities to get involved:
