The City of Cambridge, along with the Township of North Dumfries and the City of Brantford, is exploring a potential merger of municipally-owned holding companies, and affiliates, including Energy+ Inc. and Brantford Power Inc.
The electricity industry in Ontario is undergoing significant change – how power is generated, how it is used, and how energy is conserved. The energy needs and service expectations within our community and across Ontario continue to evolve and grow rapidly.
The City of Cambridge wants to hear any questions you may have about a potential merger of the holding companies and affiliates, including Energy+ and Brantford Power. Information gathered from the public will be shared with Municipal Council.

Residents, businesses and stakeholders in the communities are invited to ask a question or comment on a potential merger.

The municipal shareholders, the City of Brantford, the City of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries pass motions to either proceed with a merger OR not proceed. If all parties approve proceeding with a merger, a Shareholder's Agreement, Merger Agreement and other legal documents are drafted and signed by municipal shareholders and the holding companies.
