Notice of Commencement and first engagement meeting

The City of Kitchener is preparing technical studies to support development of the Dundee North Secondary Plan (the Project). The technical studies will address hydrologic flow regimes, groundwater recharge and discharge areas, and ecologically sensitive areas. The Secondary Plan will also include Environmental, Transportation, and Noise Impact Assessments.

The Project will fulfill the requirements for the environmental assessment and land use planning processes at the same time, in accordance with the requirements of the Ontario Planning Act and Ontario Environmental Assessment Act (through Phases 1 and 2 of the MEA Class EA process).

The purpose of this Notice is to inform the public of the study commencement and invite stakeholders to the Public Engagement Meeting No.1. Public input is important in developing the Secondary Plan. If you are interested in participating in the process, please plan to attend the public engagement meeting on:
