Construction starts this week
In April 2024, Kitchener City Council approved the findings of the Dumfries Avenue Traffic Calming Review, including the recommended traffic calming measures.
Construction of the Dumfries Ave traffic calming measures is now underway with the speed hump locations having been ground out. We expect construction to take two weeks to complete.
If you have any questions, please contact the project lead Connor Payne at connor.payne@kitchener.ca or 519-741-2200 x7374 .
This project is now complete. Please note that no final survey will be administered. In summer 2024, it was determined by Council that we will no longer implement safety improvements through a formal traffic calming program. We have moved to a hot spot improvement model instead.
