The City of Waterloo is collaborating with Stantec Consulting Ltd. on a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for Denholm Pond. Denholm Pond is located on private property between Denholm Road and Hagen Court. The pond is part of the urban drainage system for stormwater runoff and management. Urban runoff discharges from the storm sewer system on Hagen Court into a concrete-lined channel that flows into the pond. The pond discharges into a channel that flows to Colonial Creek.
There are several concerns associated with Denholm Pond, including sediment accumulation, erosion, maintenance and access. The purpose of this project is to identify a long-term solution for Denholm Pond which will address these concerns.
During the initial stages of the study, the City is soliciting feedback from residents immediately adjacent to the pond and its associated infrastructure. These residents are invited to complete our survey so that we can better understand your comments and suggestions on the pond.
