Project Information

This project will provide an off-road separated cycling lane along Davenport Road to connect active users to the local services and shops both on the street and nearby. Click the project information title link above to see all maps.

Multi-use Path

The existing eastside sidewalk on Davenport will be replaced with a wider asphalt multi-use path (MUP). Similarly, the north sidewalk on Lexington Road between Davenport and Anndale. The MUP will connect to other existing paths and the broader active transportation network.

All street crossings will be improved for accessibility. Additionally, lighting levels are being reviewed as part of the design.

Design

The City of Waterloo received funding from the Federal Governments Active Transportation Fund towards the planning and design of this project.

Construction is tentatively targeted for the summer of 2025.
