Call for Funding Proposals- 2025
The Building Safer Communities (BSC) project is pleased to announce the final open call for applications for one-time project funding.
$700,000 is available to be distributed among Waterloo Region organizations who support African, Caribbean and Black identifying (ACBi) and First Nations, Inuit and Métis (Indigenous) youth.
For the final year, the grant will fund projects, supports or interventions that help ACBi and Indigenous youth experiencing mental health or addiction crises. Make sure to review the criteria below carefully.
Eligible projects should fall within the following categories:
- Projects that provide direct mental health or addictions support to youth at risk of experiencing crisis, or youth in post-crisis situations
- Projects that pilot new ways of supporting youth mental health or addiction crises that are community-based and culturally appropriate
- Projects that build organizational capacity to better support youth crisis through staff training, developing crisis response strategies with other community groups, or building bridges with relevant service providers
Please review the BSC grant guidelines for important information about funding eligibility.
Interested organizations are invited to apply online. Applications will be accepted until January 13, 2025. Funding decisions will be made by BSC’s Youth Decision Making Team.
