Notice of construction and detour - May 2024

Construction will begin in early May at the enhance of the Brighton Street Trailhead, which will formalize connections between the trail to the neighbourhood and Brighton Park.

The Laurel Trail will be closed between Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North for approximately eight weeks, beginning in early May. Trail closure signs with maps showing the proposed detour will be posted at each affected trail access point for the duration of closure.

Detour Route A:

Go west on Bridgeport Road East
Turn right onto Peppler Street
Turn right onto Noecker Street
Turn right onto Weber Street North
Follow Weber Street to reconnection with the Laurel Trail

Go south on Weber Street North
Turn right on Bridgeport Road East
Follow Bridgeport Road East to reconnect with the Laurel Trail
