Consultation has concluded
The City of Waterloo is proceeding with reconstruction works on Brighton Street from Noecker Street to Marshall Street. The scheduled work includes the replacement of sanitary sewers, storm sewers and watermains, as well as road reconstruction for the full extent of the project, including sidewalk. The award of the construction tender has now been approved by City of Waterloo Council. Weather permitting, construction will begin in April 2022, with substantial completion expected by late 2022.
Due to COVID-19, formal in person Public Information Centres (PICs) for this project will not be held. Instead, we offer this project page with general project information and frequently asked questions.
The final design has been completed for the Brighton Street Reconstruction Project. The contract has been tendered and awarded, and construction is anticipated to begin in April. Within the Project Library section of this webpage you can find the final engineering plans, as well a document titled Brighton Street - Resident Notification # 2 Letter, which provides further information related to the detailed design and construction. The details design and construction information is also readily available in the narrated presentation video, and transcribed in the Public Information Centre #2 section.
