Affordable Housing Strategy, 2023-2033

City of Waterloo Council will consider a Draft Affordable Housing Strategy on March 20, 2023.

The Draft Affordable Housing Strategy identifies 81 actions that the city could take over the next decade to help improve housing affordability. Some of the actions can be implemented without additional resources, while others will require additional staff and/or financial resources to implement. The actions in the Strategy draw from research (e.g. City’s Housing Needs and Demand Analysis and the Affordable Housing Strategy Discussion Paper) and feedback from the public and key informants.
