Watching hockey has always been a big deal to me so in February 2018 my husband and I took our daughter to her first live Ranger game! She was actually engaged in the entire game and had a blast! The best part is TECHNICALLY this was my son's first game too since I was 7 months pregnant. It was an amazing family outing and one we can't afford to do too often. Every time I look at this picture hanging on the wall I smile and feel the happy energy off our extremely happy little girl! - Alisha Cormier

There are so many memories of the Aud!!! Saturday morning ice skating as a child. Friday night Rangers games for sure! And then waiting with impatience for hockey to be over and roller skating to start! The COE was a MUST annual event, as was the battle of the marching school bands and football at Centennial stadium. Every decade of my life has special memories of the AUD! We have been so lucky to have such a first-class facility here forever!!!! - Sandra Ellis

The Aud holds a special place in our hearts. It is where we have gathered for numerous concerts, hockey games - The Rangers and my son House league team, food and drink shows, and so much more. However on Feb 16, 2020 my daughters team won the Provincial Championship (Cheer Sport Sharks - Blacktips!) for the 2nd year in a row and this memory stands out the most. This picture and this moment in time, seems like a lifetime ago. We were with our Cheer Family, gathering and cheering on our children. Being a part of a community like this means so much and having a win in our home community was even better! – Shannon Thomson

This is the ticket photo for the Kitchener Civilian Juvenile AAA hockey team, taken at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in January of 1974. We were playing an International hockey game against Rauma of Finland, that we lost 4 - 1. The photo reminds me of the thrill of playing at the auditorium in front of a few thousand people and of the penalty shot/opportunity I had and did not score on. - Michael Redfearn

My family has been connected to this grand old building for a very long time. My grandfather use to drive the Zamboni in the 60’s, my grandmother worked at the snack bar and both my father and uncle were stick boys to some of the Ranger greats like Big Bird Larry Robinson and Billy Bishop. My now 7 year old son knows exactly where to find the picture of his Papa on the wall with all the old teams.

And who could forget the first taste of Pepis Pizza you had as a kid in the 90’s from the old stalls in the now lower bowl. - Mike Kovarik

In 2003, my step Dad and I finally bonded and watching the Rangers win the OHL championship live, and then the memorial cup was the reason why. He passed at the start of the 2013 season after us watching every game as season ticket holders from 03/04 to then (I still am). In 2016 my wife and I announced that we were having our first kid in the place where that finally helped me bond with my won dad; The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The place will always be apart of my story and my family. - Matthew Steffler

As a tween I would often sneak money from my older brother to go watch wrestling on Sunday evenings. I remember the Sheik taking a fans pen after an autograph then stabbing another wrestling in the head. Sweet Daddy Siki, Haystack Calhoun. Great times. - Susan Stark
