The Queen's Bush Road construction was originally supposed to be complete over 3 years in three phases. Phase 3 was originally planned to be completed fully in 2025, but because of the better-than-expected rates received through the tender, most of phase 3 was moved into 2024.

Why was this project necessary?

The project was necessary due to underground storm water infrastructure deteriorating and no longer being able to perform adequately. The road surface was full of potholes and cracking and needed to be replaced as well.

Where did the funds for this project come from?

This project was almost entirely funded using the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) that the Township receives annually from the Province of Ontario as well as the Canada Community Building Fund (CCBF) which the Township receives from the federal government annually. Only about 10% of the total cost of the project was borne by the taxpayers.

The total project cost was approximately $4 Million Dollars.
