Draft Strategic Plan
After an unprecedented public consultation and participation process, the City’s draft Strategic Plan 2023-2026 is available to the community.
To help us form the plan, we went to great lengths to learn about your priorities for our city by listening to thousands of ideas. And, in a first for the City of Kitchener, a Resident Panel helped staff create the plan, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all of the meaningful contributions!
The draft plan includes 5 Strategic Goal Areas, along with a number of actions for each of them. There is also a print-friendly version.
Key Principles that contributed to the selection of actions include:
- Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
- Innovation
- Stakeholder Relationships and Meaningful Engagement
- Accountability and Transparency
The actions are proposed to begin within the first 1-2 years of the 4-year plan, based on budget approval. Regular reviews and updates are planned which will allow flexibility to adapt as the needs of the community and opportunities change.
Let us know what you think about the draft plan by taking the survey.
This survey will take 10-12 minutes to fill out. It closes July 16, 2023 at 11:59p.m.
