The purpose of the noise bylaw review and update are to better understand the needs of the community to ensure the noise bylaw stays relevant and effective. Since its last update in 2017, Waterloo has experienced new growth and changes in its communities. The City wants to gather information about new noise sources, emerging challenges, outdated regulations and/or exemptions. Community input will be used to help create a harmonious environment for residents and businesses.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our Noise Bylaw update survey. In total, we received close to 400 responses.
We are going to review the feedback and comments received in the survey and summarize them into a report to Council later this fall.
